Import DXF / DWG

Importing DXF or DWG

  • Download or get a .dxf or .dwg file, these are usually 2D or 3D only.
  • Create a new document in vectorworks, dimension mm any scale you fancy.
  • Go to File > Import > Import Single DXF/DWG File…

  • Choose the file to import.

  • Thank check that the imported file is the correct size, if not you will nedd to ajust the model space units (top section), try change it to millimeters or meters.
  • If it is all perfect, if it is a piece of furniture you can change it into a symbol.
